Cirba Solutions is expanding its battery recycling facility in Lancaster, Ohio, with an investment exceeding $400 million, including $82 million from the U.S. Department of Energy. This expansion will produce battery-grade metal sulfates and lithium carbonate, supporting over 250,000 EV batteries annually and creating more than 100 jobs. The facility aims to enhance the domestic supply chain for critical materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel, significantly increasing processing capacity by 600% since 2022.
